“The body is a smooth, sculpted, luminous column.”Fabrizio Caramagna
THE MATERIAL.
Travertine is a porous limestone rock with a stratified structure, typical of central Italy, which is formed by precipitation from calcium carbonate waters near springs and waterfalls. Particular are the typical parallel bands and even very marked zonings, marked by variations in color and porosity, which give a natural yet refined look to this beautiful material. It is easily workable and is in fact used both indoors and outdoors. It is also used to great effect for sculpture and for architectural and design elements of great elegance
Travertine is recently finding favor with modern architects and interior design. Its natural appearance fits perfectly with the new lifestyle trends, increasingly oriented towards the use and enhancement of natural materials. It is also used with great effect for sculpture and for architectural and design elements of great elegance and versatility.
