Columns in architecture represent the cornerstones of a building, thus symbolizing stability, balance and solidity.
Like many vertical elements, they symbolically connect Earth and Sky, becoming an expression of men’s gratitude towards the gods, as well as stability, strength and perfect balance.
Imposing and elegant, marble columns are a highly effective decorative solution, suitable for any style, from classic to modern. They will easily combine with important antiques, but also with the more modern styles of liberty and rococo inspiration. In contrast with the clean lines of modern and design settings, they will instead be able to give a touch of timeless elegance.
THE MATERIAL.
The Floral BOTTIC MARBLE
The floral is a prized and very old variety of the Italian marble BOTTICINO, from whose town in the province of Brescia, takes its name.
Due to its bright and valuable appearance, it has been used since ancient times for monumental achievements, and still lends itself to many uses.
Fairly uniform in texture, it has a light beige background color. The term “flowery” derives its name from its peculiar white clouds and shades, which precisely resemble the shape of flowers.
