Venus was a Roman goddess, which is equivalent to the Greek Aphrodite. She was one of the most important goddesses, considered deities of love, fertility, and beauty.
She would have been born not from carnal union but from the seed of Uranus, when the genitals of the same, cut by the son Cronus, fell into the sea and created the foam from which the beautiful goddess was born.
The statue depicts Venus holding apples and grapes, this image has a strong symbolic meaning the apple represents temptation and redemption. Everything is linked to the two most famous apples in history:
the one that Paris gives to Venus, in the dispute with Minerva and Juno, or the one that Eve gives to Adam.
Grapes have always represented the allegory of wealth, and still today cannot be missing at the end of the year as a auspicious symbol of health, well-being and prosperity.
