There is a stone that connects all of Italy: marble. Marble is the precious stone of Italy; it is our daily connection with something fascinating and functional at the same time. Marble is the craftsman’s stone.
Its natural origin makes it unique. From color to density, no block is the same, each piece is unique, unrepeatable and this feature makes it a material that only experts should touch.
We select stones that show the evolution of the mountain over time. A combination of colors that gives a depth that no artificial stone can aspire to.
Each vein that crosses the stone is a story; like the lines of life that run on the palm of our hands, the marble we choose tells a story.
A unique piece of furniture, the Tiger Skin Marble Amphora that we have selected for you is made for indoor environments and can be placed on low tables, on shelves or if you prefer used as a centerpiece.
Thanks to its unique shades of color it is perfectly suited to the combination with dark and antique woods but also with materials such as iron and concrete, dear to the modern conception of Interior Design.
Material
Pelle Di Tigre marble has been widely used since ancient times as a material for sculpture and architecture.
The low refractive index of calcite, of which it is mainly composed, allows light to “penetrate” the surface of the stone before being reflected, and gives this material a special brightness. The term “marble” derives from the Greek ” marmaros ”, with the meaning of “shining stone”, and was used to indicate any “polishable” stone, that is, the surface of which could be made shiny by polishing.
The marble has porosity and cracks, which, during the processing phases, are filled with specific resins or inserts of the same material.
After polishing, the surface may show slight irregularities or natural micro holes, which do not affect the solidity of the finished product.
For the correct maintenance of marble surfaces, it is recommended to clean them with neutral detergents, avoiding degreasers or corrosive products. The acid can ruin the glossy surface of the marble.
It is therefore advisable to avoid contact with any acid substances that accidentally come into contact with the surface.
Any imperfections and differences with the image are to be considered a guarantee of the uniqueness of the object and of the material.
Elegant and valuable, it has a remarkable resistance and is easy to clean thanks to its surface capable of limiting the absorption of dirt and humidity.
