Columns in architecture represent the cornerstones of a building, thus symbolizing stability, balance and solidity.
Like many vertical elements, they symbolically connect Earth and Sky, becoming an expression of men’s gratitude towards the gods, as well as stability, strength and perfect balance.
Imposing and elegant, marble columns are a highly effective decorative solution, suitable for any style, from classic to modern. They will easily combine with important antiques, but also with the more modern styles of liberty and rococo inspiration. In contrast with the clean lines of modern and design settings, they will instead be able to give a touch of timeless elegance.
THE MATERIAL.
Carrara MARBLE has a pearly white background tone, slightly cloudy with more or less present and evident grayish intrusions and dots.
Crystalline marble, varying in grain from fine to medium, is homogeneous and compact and suitable for any finish. Particularly used for complements, furniture and coverings intended for indoor environments, it is also finding a place in the creation of valuable decorative objects intended to last.
It is the marble of the great Italian Renaissance, which delivered to immortality such works as Michelangelo’s David, considered the most perfect masterpiece of all time. A valuable ally of the modern design concept, it fits into all kinds of environments and furnishings, from classic to modern, giving an undisputed touch of elegance and value.
Decorating the home: marble as a timeless choice.
The need to decorate family and home environments originates in the oldest traditions. Not only through objects and decorations can we express our personality, but we can change the atmosphere of a room with just a few touches and without substantial intervention.
The choice of marble for complements, decorative objects and home accessories combines elegance, value and durability, giving every room in the home a timeless appeal. It is in association with contemporary furniture and materials such as brass and wood that marble has regained its value as a noble yet versatile material. More than ever before, marble is rising to the rank of timeless trends, and establishing itself as the prince of materials.
Always used for large coverings such as floors, stairs and kitchen tops, today its intrinsic preciousness is rediscovered even in small and precious objects or elegant and sumptuous furnishing accessories.
